Our Vision
The problem
As a grade 8 English teacher, I faced the challenge of engaging students with different reading levels who were only reading because it was expected, not because of interest. Many students only read one genre or series based on their friends' choices. These issues limited their potential and exposure to knowledge.
What led to ReadingRoad
During a job interview, I realized the power of reading when I was asked if I knew about design for a new role. I stumbled upon a design book, The Design of Everyday Things, which sparked my interest in reading more design books and acquiring theoretical knowledge. This realization made me believe that teaching someone to read can open endless learning opportunities.

Our Solution
These experiences led to Kitaabnama. A program which creates opportunities to instill a love of reading. The app recommends new genres, suggests avoiding unappealing books, and clarifies difficult vocabulary. The program's objective is to foster individuals who are confident, well-rounded, and curious readers, capable of embracing books they love and disengaging from those they don't, without any negative feelings, by the end of their academic careers.
